I feel like my crafty mood is finally back! I did a bit here and there throughout the summer but between life being chaotic and the summer heat, I just haven’t been feeling it.
It started with making a card for my nephew’s first birthday. While I didn’t forget his birthday, I did space out on the fact that I like to make cards for all of my family so it was a bit of a scramble. It worked out that they were away for his actual birthday. This adorable truck is complete and washed, just needs to be ironed and put into the frame card.

I also picked up my knitting needles for the first time in a while, finishing off a kid-sized hat to donate. I’m strongly considering making a Tolsta Tank by CreaBea Designs so I ordered some Lion Brand Coboo to swatch with. Well, I ordered 5 skeins but figured if I don’t like it for this project, I can make chemo hats with it.

A new craft I’m trying is needlepoint. When I was at a mah jongg fundraiser a few weeks ago, one of the women was talking about her needlepoint projects. I honestly thought needlepoint was just another name for embroidery but turns out it’s a completely separate craft! I got a kit from Amazon to try out and so far I’ve done the basketweave stitch. I put it in a Nurge frame inside out and it’s been much easier to work since doing so.

That’s all for today. Happy crafting!
